Abstract
PCSK9 inhibitor antibodies (e.g., evolocumab, alirocumab) remain among the most potent LDL-lowering therapies available, slashing LDL cholesterol by 50% to 60%. They are primarily reserved for high-risk patients who cannot meet targets with statins or ezetimibe, and they have robust cardiovascular outcomes data proving they prevent heart attacks and strokes.
