A New Year’s Message from the President of the Hong Kong Chinese Medical Association
尊敬的各位會員、同仁及朋友們：
值此新年來臨之際，我謹向諸位致以最熱忱的問候與誠摯的謝意。此時此刻，我們不僅得以回顧過去一年的點滴，更能共同慶賀過去兩三年間一段持續成長與深化連結的轉型歷程 —— 這是一段以堅韌、創新與深厚情誼為標誌的旅程。
本會經歷了多年來顯著的會員規模擴展，這反映了各界對我們使命及所培育專業社群的信任與日俱增。源源不斷的優秀醫者加入，強化了我們的集體專業實力，豐富了會內觀點的多樣性，從而為未來奠定了更堅實的根基。
此期間的一項標誌性成就，在於我們與深圳、廣州及北京醫學團體的聯繫得到系統性加強。始於探索性對話的交流，如今已發展成熟，通過線上平台實現了跨境教育活動的參與。這股跨境協同之力，已成為創新與專業共同提升的不竭源泉。
我們對學術卓越的追求，在旗艦活動中熠熠生輝。歷年來的周年科研大會不斷突破邊界，適應線上線下混合模式，並擴大影響範圍以傳播前沿知識。與此同時，我們的地區性學術活動已扎根成長，在香港建立起充滿活力的本地網絡，促進持續學習與同儕互助。
中國醫師節的意義隨每一次慶祝活動而增長，已成為我們共同弘揚醫療行業持久倫理、奉獻精神與專業情懷的珍貴時刻。它猶如年度試金石，檢驗並彰顯我們共同的身份認同與價值觀。
在我們深感自豪的成就中，為期多年的「慢性腎病社區關懷計劃」尤為突出。這項持續性的倡議彰顯了我們對社會的責任。多年來，各位義工堅定不移的努力，教育了成千上萬的民眾，推廣早期篩查，並為患者及其家庭提供關鍵支持，對本港社區的公眾健康意識產生了切實而深遠的影響。
所有這些持久的成就，若非各位堅定的奉獻、積極的參與與慷慨的精神，皆無法實現。你們以非凡的團結力量，駕馭挑戰，把握機遇。
展望前路，我們立基於這些關鍵年份所築就的穩固基礎之上。讓我們延續這股動能——以更飽滿的熱情與更清晰的目標，持續學習、協作與服務。

Dear Esteemed Members, Colleagues, and Friends,
As we welcome a new year, I extend my warmest greetings and sincere appreciation to each of you. This moment offers a valuable opportunity not only to reflect on the past year but to celebrate a transformative period of sustained growth and connection over the past two to three years — a journey marked by resilience, innovation, and deepened fellowship.
Our Association has experienced a remarkable multi-year expansion in membership, reflecting growing trust in our mission and the professional community we nurture. This steady influx of talented practitioners has strengthened our collective expertise and enriched the diversity of perspectives within our ranks, fortifying our foundation for the future.
A defining achievement of this period has been the systematic strengthening of our ties with medical associations in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Beijing. What began as exploratory dialogues has matured into cross-border participation of educational activities via the online platform. This cross-border synergy has become a continuous source of innovation and shared professional elevation.
Our commitment to scholarly excellence has shone through our flagship events. The Annual Scientific Meetings over these years have consistently pushed boundaries, adapting to hybrid formats and expanding their reach to disseminate pioneering knowledge. Simultaneously, our district-based academic events have taken root, creating a dynamic local network for continuous learning and peer support across Hong Kong.
The China Doctors’ Festival (中國醫師節) has grown in significance with each celebration, becoming a cherished occasion where we collectively honour the enduring ethics, dedication, and spirit of our profession. It serves as an annual touchstone of our shared identity and values.
Among our most profound sources of pride is the multi-year Community Outreach Programme on Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). This sustained initiative exemplifies our duty to society. Over these years, your unwavering volunteer efforts have educated thousands, promoted early screening, and provided critical support to patients and families, making a tangible, lasting impact on public health awareness in our community.
None of these enduring accomplishments would have been possible without your steadfast dedication, active participation, and generous spirit. You have navigated challenges and seized opportunities with remarkable unity.
As we look ahead, we do so on a solid foundation built over these pivotal years. Let us carry forward this momentum — continuing to learn, collaborate, and serve with even greater passion and purpose.
